The Shanbhag's Meet the Zimmermann's
Lara and I had our Spring break from March 20-29. We figured this was the only opportunity to get our parents to converge in the same city before the wedding! We chose Boston because it was convenient for both families and would give Lara and I a chance to see Jenny and Ashley since they're both in the area too.
We started the week in Hartford. Lara's parents were out of town, so everyone was misbehaving (dogs on the couch, cats fighting in the living room).

During the week we met with the officiant, the caterer, the flower lady, and took care of getting tuxs. The weekend was all about letting our parents get to know each other.
On Friday we all drove to Boston and met for dinner at Saphron, an Indian restaurant. Everything went really well and the food was excellent. Saturday afternoon, Mom put Jenny and Mom Z into sarees for the first time in their lives. Beautiful, beautiful!

Finally Saturday night we finished off with yet another nice dinner, also on Newbury St, at Sonsie. We actually got pictures this time :p

All in all, a successful "Shanbhag's meet Zimmermann's" weekend. For Lara and I, it was really nice to see Ashley and Jenny again too. See you at the wedding this summer!
